I have never needed a murder more. :-(

Without my murder, what are the boys going to investigate?

I have three key plot trunks - I don't know what to call them.

There are three initial choices and they select the plot you are in.

I'm not sure it's even a COYA right now. It's just a weird logic game.
  • If there are three initial choices which set various plotlines, it sure sounds like a CYOA.
    • I have a plot! It's not very COYA.

I talked to dosk who places this in more of the graphical adventure game box [otherwise "point and click" - he is an epic fan] and that it is more like the "string of pearls" interlinking plot style - you get most of the same people and initial leads but a lot of it is down to the way you follow them and the conclusions you make.

The thing I don't like about (real) CYOAs is that one early decision effectively dooms you to a lose scenario. I'm not sure which paths will miss the same teeny tiny clues and I have some teeny tiny not-a-clues.

The "string of pearls" thing was already happening. You have access to most of the same information except how and when you find things out (or not). It's the find the people time-line thing again. It's find the right pieces to ask the right questions and there are multiple opportunities to pick the stuff up.

I still don't understand the way the bloody ending is going to work. :-(

[FYI Dosk is my brother and my outboard brain. We once discussed writing a due South text adventure game. We both don't like the way you can make one decission in a real COYA and it totally DOOMS you to lose. ]
